Sky Sports News is a British television channel dedicated to sports news and is broadcast in both standard and high definition.

Sky Sports News is exclusively available to more than 13 million Sky, Virgin Media and Talk Talk TV customers.

Launched in 1998, the channel has a prime focus on football news, however does cover other sporting events, including Formula One, Major League Baseball, and also American Football.

 

The channel format is akin to a 'traditional' news network, with news anchors hosting a programme featuring live reports from outside broadcasts, but also taped news packages.

Sky Sports News HD

Sky Sports News HD is available on Sky Channel 455, and HD viewers will be able to make the most of the new widescreen format, on-screen graphics and video panels.

Phone, web and PC

Sky Sports News is streamed live on PC, Mac, Xbox, Fetch TV and 3G mobile phones through Sky Player & Sky Mobile TV.

iPad and iPhone

Sky Sports News has a dedicated iPad application which offers continually updating breaking news, views and opinion from the world of sport. The iPad app also offers streaming access to Sky Sports News Radio.
