CNNfn's Before HoursPresented by Jack Cafferty, who is now with CNN's domestic US channel, Before Hours was a fast-paced program offering all the top news you need for the day's trading session. The programme head took a look at how European and Asian markets were faring, as well as covering all the major corporate news that would impact the markets. With reporter presence at the Nasdaq-Amex Marketsite, the New York Stock Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade, the show aimed to keep you on top of all breaking news. The show also included segments from Washington taking an early look at key economic reports released from both the Labor and Commerce Departments, and ran you right up to the opening bell on Wall Street.

Biz Buzz

CNNfn's Biz BuzzBiz Buzz aired in the late 1990's on CNNfn, and checked out who's in, who's out, and what the insiders have to say about people, companies, stocks, and investment opportunities.   Each day, viewers could get the buzz about a different industry sector such as entertainment, retail, advertising, sports, leisure, travel, media, and communications.

Business Unusual

Business UnusualAiring at 19:00 Weekdays, and also on CNN and CNN International at weekends, Business Unusual was a meaningful dynamic mix of interviews and documentary-style video-taped stories that looked at corporate leaders and executives who took a non-traditional approach to management and problem solving. The show seeked to show viewers how the world is changing around them, as consumers, workers and business owners.

CNNmoney Morning

CNNmoney Morning opened the trading day with up-to-the-minute reports on pre-market activity and the latest news headlines from around the globe. Jack Cafferty anchored the programme, giving a smart take on the day's business news, the latest buzz from the morning papers and everything you needed to get a jumpstart on the day.  The programme also aired for an hour on CNN's domestic channel in the US.

Market Call

CNNfn's Market CallAiring just before the opening bell and presented by Rhonda Shaffler, Market Call captured the anticipation and excitement of the market's first half of the trading day with the help of some of the most respected names in financial journalism. Each morning, Market Call looked at the relevant upgrades and downgrades, the performance of overseas markets and hosted a roundtable discussion about the morning's major news stories. It was billed as "raw data in, intelligent analysis out."

Money & Markets

CNNfn's Money & Markets offered all the day's relevant financial stories, translating them into terms and language most accessible to viewers, so they could make the most educated choices with their investments. Co-anchored by Kathleen Hays and Bruce Francis, the show delivered a daily, comprehensive market wrap-up by reporting all the closing numbers from Wall Street in addition to more consumer-friendly segments focusing on all things financial. The show aired every weekday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. (ET).

Money & Markets featured regular special segments bringing market coverage into focus for viewers, such as "Building Your Portfolio," which provided viewers with choices on how to tailor their portfolios to better meet their financial needs. "Spotlight" examined one of the top business stories of the day from a Main Street perspective. The "Making Money A-Z" examined a financial term, going into great depth.

Moneyline

moneyline_02As CNN's program of record on the day's business news, financial reports and economic developments in the U.S. and around the world, Moneyline and more recently, Moneyline News Hour tracked the world of business with insight and intelligence.  The show was presented by Lou Dobbs, the preeminent business journalist on television of the day, and he was joined by top business and political newsmakers from around the world. His guests have included world leaders as well as chairmen, presidents and CEOs from major U.S. and multinational companies.

Moneyline Weekend

moneylineweekendMoneyline Weekend wraped up the week in business with top experts in the field. The show included a roundtable discussion finding out what the latest news from wall street means for you. Rhonda Schaffler moderated as traders and strategists gave their insights on the week's news and previewed what you needed to know for the coming weeks and months on Wall Street, highlighting stock picks and predictions for the markets.

Pinnacle

Street Sweep

CNNfn's Street SweepAnchored live, Street Sweep provided the latest business and financial news and interviews with market experts and portfolio managers for their perspectives on the trading day and their predictions on future market performance.  As the closing bell rang at the New York Stock Exchange, Street Sweep provided an immediate, comprehensive recap of the day's market performance. Wall Street movers and shakers, acting as guest hosts on the program, also joined the discussions. To offer a unique look at the mood and pulse on Wall Street, Street Sweep was anchored live from CNN's state-of-the-art studio overlooking the main trading floor of the NYSE.  The programme also aired on CNN's domestic US network.  Additionally, the programme aired for a few weeks on CNN International leading upto the 2000 US election, and throughout the court challenges as a result of the election was contested. 

The Biz

CNNfn's The BizAiring 11:50 ET weekdays, The Biz reported on the business behind the media and entertainment industry with live guests delivering the inside scoop on the major media and entertainment news of the day. The program focused on the film, television, music and publishing industries.

The Money Gang

CNNfn's Money GangAiring at 12:30 ET each weekday, The Money Gang was your guide to making money, saving money and spending money. Anchor David Haffenreffer presented The Money Gang in making sense of the markets in a free-wheeling flow of investment ideas from the business world's best and brightest. The show took an interactive look at Wall Street from Main Street with viewer calls, e-mails and on-line chat. Frequent reports from the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq MarketSite provided the latest market news and served as a launching point for discussion and disagreement.

The NEW Show

CNNfn's The NEW ShowCNNfn's NEW Show provided a jump on the next day's trading with regular reports on all the after hours market action from the Instinet trading desk. It also provided the next day's exclusive, market moving stories from their colleagues at the Financial Times. They broke headlines before the daily paper hit your doorstep.  It also gave exclusive stories from its content partners at Fortune, Industry Standard and eCompany Now. The N.E.W. Show was co-anchored by Bruce Francis and was produced by Rosemarie Kasica.
