CNBC World is operated soley in the United States by NBC Universal, broadcasting from CNBC's worldwide headquarters at Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
The channel broadcasts programs from CNBC's international channels, specifically, the entire business day schedules of CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia (except for Trading Matters and the first airing of Australia This Week). Several other pre-taped shows from CNBC's different international channels (e.g. CNBC TV18 and numerous other franchise stations) can also be seen on the channel.
Weekdays, between 8:30 and 8:45 ET, CNBC World airs its first original live programme, Foreign Exchange, with The Wall Street Journal's Bob O'Brien from the networks Englewood Cliffs studios, and Dow Jones Newswires' Nick Hastings as a contributor from CNBC Europe's headquarters in London. The show premiered on June 27, 2005.
In between live programs, various pre-taped magazine programmes from CNBC's international channels are shown but these are regularly pre-empted for extended live coverage of speeches made by business leaders and FED officials from around the globe.
